Greg Thomas (Chair)

Greg is a consultant to the Lower Hutt law firm of Thomas Dewer Szirani Letts. He is chair of E Tu and was a member of the steering committee which established the Trust. He has a long standing interest in the visual arts and has been involved in the governance of other arts and not-for-profit groups.

Allan Brown

Allan Brown has had extensive design and manufacturing experience in Hutt City with Formway Furniture and Metallion. He has manufactured a number of sculptural works for Leon Van Den Eijkel. This design and maintenance experience is valuable for the Trust. He is also a trustee of the Great Harbour Way Trust.

Amanda Waijers

Amanda Waijers has worked as an art consultant for over 10 years, creating art policies for local authorities and contributing to the development of art in public spaces.

She has written for publications like Art New Zealand and Heritage New Zealand and is currently working on a Ph.D on site specific art.

Dan Males

Dan Males is a registered member of the New Zealand institute of Landscape Architects and Director of Local Landscape Architecture Collective. He has worked closely with clients and specialist teams to deliver some of New Zealand’s most loved and award winning landscapes. As a trustee, Dan is able to complete complex projects, with expertise from feasibility to construction.

Desiree Mulligan

Desiree Mulligan was a member of the Hutt City Central Ward Community committee, and promoted the idea of a public art trust. She has been on the Hutt City community arts advisory group, and the committee of the Avalon Hall. She teaches history and english and has an interest in public art.

Ian Pike

Ian Pike has had an active role in urban development with attention to urban form and the improvement of public places, in particular the Wellington waterfront and Hutt CBD . Ian was involved with a number of art installations on Wellington’s waterfront including the Len Lye Water Whirler, Solace in the Wind and Nga Kina. He is also a trustee of the Great Harbour Way Trust.

Tui Lewis

Tui Lewis is Deputy Mayor of Hutt City and has been a Harbour Ward Councillor since 2010.

She believes that public art helps us to tell the stories of our place, our people, and our history. She considers that an association between E Tu and Council helps to add vibrancy to new projects and our growing city.
